First and foremost, please DO NOT START unless you have time to sit and finish the ENTIRE leg! You're being timed based on start to finish as well as any additional times earned within the leg itself. So if you start and leave, your time will continue.
All work will be done in your confessional, in the appropriate threads which I will create each leg. |
The small version of the logo signifies the starting point of a leg. That is where you'll head first. Once inside you'll see instructions on what to do and where to go. If you have questions please read the tutorials or contact me on AIM: P0tt34 |
Any time you see one of these symbols it means that you'll need to decide between modes of transportation. As with EVERYTHING in this game, you'll decide which mode to take by posting your decision in your confessional (in the appropriate thread). You can type "I choose..." or simply post the image. Whatever works best for you, as long as I understand which you're choosing. |

If you see this Route Marker clue, this is simply a sign to tell you to move onto the very next sub-board. |
If you see a Route Info, Detour or Roadblock clue, click on it. A Route Info will send you to a new, simple part of the race. A Detour means you'll have to choose 1 of 2 simple tasks to partake with little clues on which to choose. You can only choose one, so choose wisely cause there is no going back. A Roadblock means you'll have to make a decision to complete a difficult task yourself or let your Ghost Partner do the work. A Ghost Partner is an imaginary partner for you in the race. They do absolutely nothing in this game except during Roadblocks. If you don't want to complete in the given Roadblock then have your Ghost Partner do it for you. However, you may only do so no more than 3 times in the entire race. Also, only the first 3 to do so in each leg will be allowed. Be warned though, your Ghost Partner only scores the average of all players' combined scores. |
If you see a Fast Forward, U-Turn or Yield...click on it and open it in a new tab. Please note these 3 are each OPTIONAL. You do NOT have to attempt them, but you DO need to check them out. If you try for the Fast Forward you'll be asked to perform a task LIVE on AIM with me (AIM is P0tt34). You're warned now that it will NOT be my job to be on AIM at all times to ensure you get to do the Fast Forward when you like. You'll have to catch me when you catch me...or not attempt it. Only the first to successfully finish the task will be rewarded with a direct path to the Pitstop, skipping the rest of the leg. You may only win 1 Fast Forward the entire race, so choose when to go for it carefully. When you reach a Yield you'll be asked to make a decision. Yield someone or not, posting your decision in the thread. If you choose to stall a fellow player, you need to post in there for all to see who you'd like to stall for 1 Hour in REAL TIME. You will need to add their and your pictures to the appropriate slots on the Yield Board. You may only select someone who has yet to post their own decision and only the first player to use the Yield will be allowed to do so. If you've been Yielded then you need to immediately post in the Yield board [TIME STARTS]. An hour after doing so you need to post [TIME STOPS]. In this hour of being Yielded you are forbidden from doing ANYTHING in the race. Consider it a pause button. A U-Turn is used in the same way as a Yield (including the board) with one difference. Once you've noticed you've been U-Turned you need to post [TIME STARTS] then head back and complete the OTHER Detour from the leg; the one you didn't choose earlier. Once you've completed the second Detour, return to the U-Turn and post [TIME STOPS]. You may then continue on with the rest of the race. Each team may only Yield or U-Turn someone once during the entire race, so use them wisely. |
If you see this Intersection clue...click on it. It will send you to a new area where you must team up with another player for as long as the leg requires. Once you get there immediately post [CHECKS IN]. Your time for this leg will pause. This is a check point so that you can find and team up with a fellow player in the game. Once you and the other player have checked in and agreed to team up BOTH of you need to post [CHECKS OUT]. Once BOTH of you have done so your times will unfreeze and you may immediately start work on the rest of the leg together. These instances WILL require teamwork and once you "check out" there's no stopping again. You'll remain pairs until you've been notified to split up; in which case you just go your own ways. |
Only those come in dead last during a non-elimination leg...as well as those who fail to finish a leg and somehow manage to survive...will have to ever worry about this clue. If you find yourself to be one of these people and come across this clue, click on it. You'll be taken to an extra task that you and you alone will have to complete immediately. Once you've finished you may continue with the rest of the leg. Please note that your time does NOT stop for this. |
If you see this Pitstop clue, this is simply a sign to tell you to move onto the very last sub-board to finally FINISH that leg of the race. You'll need to run there and check in ASAP! |

As you know in The Amazing Race, fate can turn anyone's game a whole 180 and either end it for them or help them on their way to victory. Well, in this game fate will play a hand in the race.
As you check into the Pitstop at the end of each leg, you will see a thread called "Fate Chips." In said thread, you'll find 3 chips Just like those below. Each player is required to purchase 1 and ONLY 1 chip. This is a REQUIREMENT! Failure to purchase will result in a penalty. The price of each chip is equal to the number on the chip itself (in USD). So for example the red chip with a 5 on it will always cost $5 USD.
What are these for you may ask? Each leg there will be a predetermined number of events possible to occur (proof will always be posted in the host area beforehand). Each player to finish the leg will be randomly assigned one of the events. The number of good, bad and mediocre events will vary from leg to leg, but there will ALWAYS be at least 2 of each. These ARE first come, first served btw.
Obviously the $1 Chip is the cheapest, but there's enough for everyone. Sadly it also has no affect on your odds in the fate draw. Then there are the $5 Chips. There will only ever be at most 3 of these chips available to purchase, depending on the leg. Those who buy these chips will have half the bad events removed from their personal fate drawing. Then we have the amazing $25 Chips. There will only ever be 1 per leg. These lovely chips remove all bad AND all mediocre chips, leaving only good fate for you.
Should also note that all fate drawings are done in a specific order. Those who purchased the $25 chips will go first, those who purchased $5 chips next and everyone else last. |
